However, the said dangerous sugars are usually commercially produced. Natural sugars are not only safe but also carry immense health benefits. This means that you can actually improve your health by eating the right type of cake. Instead of adding a cupful of regular sugar to your cake, you can use healthy substitutes such as honey, maple syrup, agave and stevia.

These ingredients allow you to get the same sweetness as you would with real white sugar. The end result is a safe enough cake even for people who need to know what is safe for osteoarthritis patients and individuals with other conditions which require sugar caution.

Fat Free Cakes

It has been argued that even if cakes are sugar-free, it is borderline impossible to make them fat-safe. Well, in all honesty, it is difficult to have a cake which has absolutely no fat.

Again, there aren’t what you would call healthy fats. But then that happens in other products too; fats are so common in everyday culinary ingredients. What you can do, therefore, is go for cake recipes which maintain fat levels at only a bare minimum. If you are used to baking with eggs and milk, for example, you can leave one of the two ingredients out.

Alternatively, you can go for a smart way of consuming your cake. Eating small portions in a serving is the most advisable thing, albeit not always practical. It requires a lot of discipline to achieve that.
